Global trends and research landscape of arthroscopic therapy and exercise rehabilitation in meniscal tear: a bibliometric analysis.

ABSTRACT:

Background

Meniscus tears are common knee injuries managed via arthroscopy and rehabilitation. However, a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of trends and collaborations is lacking.

Methods

A bibliometric analysis of English-language literature (1985-2023) from the Web of Science Core Collection was conducted using VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and R package "bibliometrix" to analyze publications, citations, and keywords.

Results

A total of 607 articles were included in this study. The United States had the highest publication volume (191), followed by China (41) and Japan (39). The most productive institution was the University of Southern Denmark with 53 publications. American Journal of Sports Medicine was one of the most influential journals in its field. Key authors in
