Exploring nursing intern students' experiences of stress and resilience during internship using photovoice.

ABSTRACT:

Introduction

Nursing intern students' experiences of stress and their resiliency construction during internships remains largely unexplored. This study aims to achieve two primary objectives: first, to explore the nuanced experiences of stress and resilience among nursing intern students, and second, to contribute insights that can lead to the development of effective programs for enhancing coping skills and building resilience during their internships.

Methods

This study employed a phenomenological investigation using photovoice, focusing on the stressors and coping mechanisms of 14 nursing interns from the King Khalid University, Abha and Khamis Muhsayt branches during the last three months of their internship.
