Background

Alcohol consumption among University students in Ethiopia is a pressing public health concern. Many existing studies tend to focus on students across all educational levels, including combinations of high school, college, and University students, and determining substance use behaviors, such as Kchat chewing, cigarette smoking, and alcohol consumption. This approach lacks a comprehensive national perspective, particularly with regard to University students. Notably, there is no research available that assesses the extent of alcohol consumption among university students in Ethiopia on a national level.
