Tubular morphologies were formed using chemical gardens from aluminum salts, aluminum silicate, where the external surface is formed mainly by silicate and the inner surface is mainly aluminum oxide-hydroxide. Several stages are observed during the formation of tubular aluminosilicates using the Schlieren technique. In this work, the adsorption of a bioactive organic compound on the tubular structures formed from aluminum nitrate and sodium silicate was explored, obtaining surprising results. Th ...[more]
