Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD<sup>+</sup>) is a critical metabolic co-enzyme implicated in brain aging, and augmenting NAD<sup>+</sup> levels in the aging brain is an attractive therapeutic strategy for neurodegeneration. However, the molecular mechanisms of brain NAD<sup>+</sup> regulation are incompletely understood.
