ABSTRACT: Maintaining CO₂ concentration at 1 % during the first 10 days of incubation represents a potential strategy for enhancing hatch quality. However, the effects of this specific CO₂ regulation strategy on embryonic skeletal muscle development have not yet been systematically evaluated. In this study, 400 fertilized Wod 188 broiler eggs were randomly divided into control and treatment groups. The control group was maintained under normal ventilation, with no CO2 introduced. The treatment group maintained the 1 % CO₂ concentration using dynamic carbon dioxide supplementation during the first 10 days of incubation. For the remainder of the incubation period, CO2 was not introduced, and normal ventilation was maintained. Phenotypic analysis revealed that 1 % CO₂ regulation d
