Dataset Information

Prognostic signature based on hypoxia and RNA methylation regulatory genes can improve the prognostic and recurrence prediction ability of low-grade glioma.

ABSTRACT:

Background

Accumulating evidence has demonstrated that both hypoxia and methylation are closely related to cancer progression. The high heterogeneity of low-grade gliomas (LGG) impedes the accurate prediction of patient prognosis. The prognostic value of the interaction between hypoxia and methylation regulation in LGG needs further study. Therefore, this study aims to develop a prognostic model for LGG by integrating hypoxia- and methylation-regulated genes to improve clinical outcome prediction.

Methods

We used a robust bioinformatics framework to explore the role of hypoxia and methylation regulatory genes in the prognostic assessment of six independent cohorts (1,499 patients with LGG). We developed a prognostic classification model of LGG related to hypoxia and methylat
