Impact of Body Mass Index on Robotic Surgery Outcomes in Early-Stage Endometrial Cancer: A Retrospective Cohort Study.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Background/Objectives: Obesity is a well-established risk factor for endometrial cancer and presents challenges for surgical management. Robotic-assisted surgery offers a minimally invasive approach with potential benefits for obese patients. This study sought to assess the impact of body mass index (BMI) on surgical performance and short-term outcomes in patients undergoing robotic surgery for early-stage endometrial cancer, focusing on follow-up and perioperative treatment. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 54 patients with early-stage endometrial cancer who underwent a robotic total hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, and indocyanine green sentinel lymph node biopsy between January 2021 and December 2024 at two tertiary centers. Patients were st
