Potentially inappropriate medication use and associated factors among older adults in Ethiopia: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

ABSTRACT:

Background

Globally, the proportion of aging population is exponentially and rapidly growing. It is estimated that the number of people 65 years or older was 727 million in 2020. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to assess potentially inappropriate medication use and associated factors among older adults in Ethiopia.

Method

Primary studies were extensively searched from databases such as PubMed, Scopus and HINARI. Observational studies conducted among older adults ≥60 years old and published in English language were included in the review.
