ABSTRACT: Background
Fusarium oxysporum is a globally distributed soil-borne pathogen that causes substantial economic losses in cash crops. Bacillomycin D-C16, a natural antimicrobial lipopeptide produced by Bacillus subtilis, exhibited potent fungicidal activity against F. oxysporum, with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 8 mg/L. However, the precise mechanism of its action against F. oxysporum remains uncharacterized. Methods
In this study, we employed transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to analyze morphological and ultrastructural alterations in F. oxysporum treated with Bacillomycin D-C16 and RNA-seq profiling combined with biochemical assays to elucidate Bacillomycin D-C16's mode of action against F. oxysporum. Results
