ABSTRACT: Introduction. Streptococcus pneumoniae is a leading cause of pneumonia, meningitis and other invasive diseases. The increasing prevalence of antibiotic resistance in S. pneumoniae has become a major public health concern, complicating clinical treatment and highlighting the need for continuous surveillance.Gap Statement.
