A just-in-time huddle to prevent central line-associated bloodstream infections in high-risk children.

ABSTRACT: A central line-associated bloodstream infection prevention rapid response team (CLABSI-RRT) huddle was convened to provide just-in-time support to staff caring for patients with high-risk central venous catheters (CVCs). Two of the identified 46 high-risk children that had a huddle activated developed a CLABSI.
