ABSTRACT: Background
Paediatric-onset Multiple Sclerosis (POMS) is a rare autoimmune disorder of the central nervous system, primarily affecting children and adolescents, characterized by recurrent episodes of neurological impairment. This study delineates the global disease burden and epidemiological characteristics of this condition.Methods
Data on POMS were obtained from the 2021 Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study, including estimates from 1990 to 2021.
