Rs2032582 polymorphism of ATP binding cassette subfamily B member 1 affect the susceptibility of inflammatory bowel disease: a systematical meta-analysis based on 14,876 subjects.

ABSTRACT:

Background

Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), encompassing Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), are chronic inflammatory disorders of the gastrointestinal tract with increasing global incidence. This meta-analysis aims to systematically evaluate the relationship between ATP-binding cassette subfamily B member 1 (ABCB1) rs2032582 polymorphism and IBD susceptibility.

Methods

A comprehensive literature search was conducted across Web of Science, PubMed, Embase, Google Scholar, Wanfang, and CNKI databases to identify eligible case-control studies published up to March 2025. Pooled odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated under multiple genetic models to assess the association between ABCB1 rs2032582 and IBD. Subgroup analyses were perfor
