Dataset Information

Clinical and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging features for differentiation between acute myocardial infarction with and without obstructive coronary arteries.

ABSTRACT:

Background

Misdiagnosis often occurs in patients with myocardial infarction (MI) with nonobstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) and MI with obstructive coronary arteries (MIOCA). This study explored the clinical and imaging characteristics of patients with MINOCA and MIOCA.

Methods

Patients with acute MI (AMI) who underwent cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging and coronary angiography (CAG) were evaluated. According to coronary stenosis degree (>50%), patients with AMI (n=147) were divided into the MINOCA and MIOCA groups. The cardiac function and CMR characteristics of the two subgroups were emphasized in analysis.

Results

The MINOCA group had a lower proportion of patients with hypertension (29.4% vs. 55.2%), hyperlipoproteinemia (9.8% vs. 16.7%),
