Impact of assisted reproductive therapy on kidney and pregnancy outcomes in women with early-stage chronic kidney disease: a longitudinal analysis.

ABSTRACT:

Background

Limited clinical research has focused on women with chronic kidney disease (CKD) undergoing assisted reproductive technology (ART). We aim to investigate the kidney outcome and the adverse pregnancy-related outcomes of CKD women after pregnancy with ART.

Methods

A longitudinal study was conducted, including CKD and non-CKD women who had successful delivered after ART between January 2014 to December 2023. By matching with age and BMI, an optimal full-matching propensity score analysis was performed to select the optimal patients of control at a ratio of 1 to 3. Clinical and laboratory data at the baseline and during the follow-up was collected. The study had received approval from the Ethics Review Board of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital (No. SYSKY-2023-008-01).
