ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Zn(C₆H₁₂NO₄)₂]·H₂O, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2₁/c with one formula unit per asymmetric unit. The Zn^II atom is coordinated by a tertiary amine N atom, a carboxyl-ate O atom and a hy-droxy O atom from each of two bicine ligands, forming a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. Inter-molecular inter-actions consist of O-H⋯O and weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.
