Photoredox/Nickel Dual-Catalyzed Asymmetric C-Alkylation of Nitroalkanes with α-Bromoketones.

ABSTRACT: A stereoselective method for alkylating nitroalkanes with α-bromoketones using nickel/photoredox dual catalysis is described. The mild and functional-group-tolerant conditions allow the formation of complex and highly enantioenriched β-nitroketone products that hold promising utility as precursors for the formation of biologically relevant compounds.
