INTRODUCTION: Inadequate surgical scrubbing is a key risk factor for surgical site infections (SSIs). Visual documentation of errors during training enhances learning while the Semmelweis Scanner provides objective quality control. This study hypothesized that displaying graphic images of severe SSIs in the scrub room would improve students’ surgical scrub discipline and effectiveness.
