BACKGROUND: Sleep disruption is recognized as a risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Both chronic and acute sleep deprivation (SD) may increase cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) levels of amyloid-beta (Aβ) and tau, potentially complicating early AD diagnoses.
