Bronsted Base-Catalyzed Aminoxylation of Benzylic and Allylic Compounds with TEMPO.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: A Brønsted base-catalyzed aminoxylation of benzylic and allylic compounds was developed. The reaction differs mechanistically from the existing aminoxylation of simple hydrocarbons and involves the catalytic generation of benzyl and allyl radicals via single electron transfer between carbanions and TEMPO. Its synthetic benefits were demonstrated by employing it in various catalytic tandem reaction systems.
