ABSTRACT: In the structure of the title compound, [V(C(5)H(7)O(2))(2)O(C(18)H(15)OP)], the V atom adopts a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry with its coordination completed by four O atoms of two acetyl-acetonate (acac) ligands, one oxo group and one O atom of the triphenyl-phosphine oxide (OPPh(3)) ligand.

Project description:The title mixed-ligand oxidovanadium(IV) compound, [VO(C(5)H(7)O(2))(2)(C(8)H(9)N(3))], contains a V(IV) atom in a distorted octahedral coordination, which is typical for such complexes. The vanadyl group and the N-heterocyclic ligand are cis to each other. The coordination bond is located at the endocyclic N atom of the benzimidazole ligand. Intra-molecular hydrogen bonds between the exo-NH(2) group H atoms and acetyl-acetonate O atoms stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title tribenzyl-chloridotin-triphenyl-phosphine adduct, [Sn(C(7)H(7))(3)Cl(C(18)H(15)OP)], the Sn(IV) atom is in a trans-C(3)SnClO trigonal-bipyramidal geometry and is displaced out of the C(3)Sn girdle in the direction of the axial Cl atom by 0.112 (1) in one independent mol-ecule and by 0.167 (1) Å in the other. The phenyl ring of one of the six benzyl units was refined as equally disordered over two sets of sites.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title tetra-nuclear niobium(V) compound, [Nb(4)(C(2)H(5)O)(8)(C(5)H(7)O(2))(4)O(4)], contains two Nb(V) atoms, two bridging O atoms, two acetyl-acetonate and four ethano-late ligands. Each Nb(V) atom is six-coordinated by the bridging O atoms, two ethano-late and one chelating acetyl-acetonate ligands. The Nb-O distances vary between 1.817 (2) and 2.201 (2) Å and the O-Nb-O angles vary between 78.88 (8) and 102.78 (9)°, illustrating the significant distortion from ideal ocahedral geometry. The rest of the tetra-nuclear unit is generated through an inversion centre. The C atoms of two of the ethano-late mol-ecules are disordered over two sites [occupancy ratio 0.601 (12):0.399 (12)].

Project description:In the title compound, [CdI(2){(C(6)H(5))(3)PO}(2)], the Cd(II) atom is ligated by two I atoms and two O atoms from two triphenyl-phosphine oxide ligands in a disorted tetra-hedral arrangement. While the O-Cd-I angles vary from 106.67 (7) to 111.23 (7)°, the O-Cd-O angle is 88.60 (10)° and the I-Cd-I angle angle is 125.47 (2)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by van der Waals forces only.

Project description:The binuclear title compound, [Hf(2)(C(5)HF(6)O(2))(6)(OH)(2)]·C(3)H(6)O, contains an Hf(IV) atom which is eight coordinated and surrounded by three chelating β-diketonato 1,1,1,5,5,5-hexa-fluoro-acetyl-acetonate (hfaa) ligands and two bridging OH groups situated on a twofold rotation axis. The HfO(8) coordination polyhedron shows a slightly distorted Archimedean square anti-prismatic coordination with average Hf-O, C-O, C-C(Me) distances of 2.19 (2), 1.26 (2) and 1.49 (2) Å, respectively, and an O-Hf-O bite angle of 75.3 (5)°. Weak O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding inter-actions are observed between one of the bridging hydr-oxy groups and the disordered solvent mol-ecule.

Project description:In comparison with the previous determination [Saussine, Mimoun, Mitschler & Fisher (1980 ▶). Nouv. J. Chim.4, 235-237] of the title compound, [V(2)(C(4)H(10)NO)(4)O(3)], the current study reports an improved precision of the derived geometric parameters, along with the deposition of all coordinates and displacement parameters. The two V(V) atoms are each surrounded by two deprotonated N,O-bidentate diethyl-hydroxy-laminate groups, and a terminal and a bridging oxide ligand, in a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The crystal packing is accomplished by van der Waals inter-actions.

As a result, the nitrate-containing mol-ecule contains disorder of its bidentate nitrate and two N-bound thio-cyanate anions, while the [Eu(NCS)3(OPPh3)3] complex is fully ordered. There is a weak π-π stacking inter-action between the phenyl rings of the two mol-ecules [centroid-centroid distance = 4.138 (4) Å].

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(C(11)H(12)N(4)O(3))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]PF(6), is the third example reported in the literature of a five-coordinated Cu(I)P(2)NO(2) system. The metal is coordinated to both PPh(3) mol-ecules through the P atoms and to the pyrazine ring of the lumazine mol-ecule through an N atom in a trigonal-planar arrangement; two additional coordinated O atoms, at Cu-O distances longer than 2.46 Å, complete the coordination. The coordination environment can be described as an inter-mediate square-pyramidal/trigonal-bipyramidal (SP/TBP) polyhedron.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ho(C(6)H(12)Cl(3)N(3)O(2)P)(3)(C(18)H(15)OP)], the Ho(III) ion is surrounded by six O atoms from the three bidentate N-[bis-(dimethyl-amino)phosphino-yl]-2,2,2-trichloro-acetamido ligands (L(-)) and by one O atom from the triphenyl-phosphine oxide ligand, with the formation of a distorted monocapped octa-hedron. In one ligand L(-), the trichloro-methyl group is rotationally disordered between two orientations in a 1:1 ratio, while two dimethyl-amino groups in another ligand L(-) are disordered between two conformations, each with the same 1:1 ratio.
