5-Amino-3-(4-pyrid-yl)isoxazole.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(8)H(7)N(3)O, there are two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit, in which the angles between the pyridine ring and the isoxazole ring are 35.8 (6) and 10.6 (2)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, which result in the mol-ecules forming a two-dimensional supra-molecular layer.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the potential mono-Schiff base ligand title compound, C(13)H(10)N(4), contains two crystallographically independent mol-ecules, A and B. In mol-ecule A, the two rings are twisted from each other by 13.90 (18)°. By contrast, the dihedral angle between the two rings in mol-ecule B is 0.67 (19)°. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked through inter-molecular N-H⋯N inter-actions via R(4) (4)(32) motifs, forming two-dimensional arrays. The short distances between the centroids of the six-membered rings indicate the existence of π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.6880 (17)-3.7466 (15) Å].

Project description:The title compound, 3-amino-5-methyl-5-(4-pyrid-yl)imid-azol-idine-2,4-dione, C(9)H(10)N(4)O(2), was obtained by reaction of 5-methyl-5-(4-pyrid-yl)hydantoin with hydrazine. It crystallizes as a racemate in the tetra-gonal space group I4(1)/a with one mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. The dihedral angle between the pyridine ring and the five-membered hydantoin ring is 47.99 (3)° In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are joined in a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network by N-H⋯N and N-H⋯O links.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(12)H(12)N(2)O(3), contains two mol-ecules in which the benzene and isoxazole rings are almost coplanar, the dihedral angles between their mean planes being 1.76 (9) and 5.85 (8)°. The two mol-ecules inter-act with each other via N-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, which link the mol-ecules into layers parallel to the ac plane. The layers stack in a parallel mode with an inter-layer distance of 3.36 (7) Å.

Project description:In the centrosymmetric title complex, [Cu(C(6)H(5)N(6))(2)], the Cu(II) ion is coordinated by four N atoms from two symmetry-related bidentate 5-(2-amino-3-pyrid-yl)tetra-zolate ligands in a slightly distorted square-planar environment. There are weak intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds between the two ligands. Project description:The Mn(III) atom in the title complex, [Mn(C(11)H(10)N(3)O)(2)]NO(3), is coordinated by the two tridentate (2-pyrid-yl)(2-pyridyl-amino)-methano-late ligands, forming a six-coordinate environment. The four pyridyl N atoms constitute the equatorial plane on which the manganese(III) ion lies; the coordination plane suffers a slight distortion as indicated by the average plane deviation of 0.058 Å. The methano-late O atoms occupy the axial positions. The coordination geometry is thus octa-hedral. In the title compound, the cations are linked by nitrate anions via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to form one-dimensional chains. Moreover, the one-dimensional structure is stabilized by inter-molecular edge-to-face aromatic π-π inter-actions with a center-of-inversion at a distance of ca 4.634 Å.
