ABSTRACT: In the title salt, C(12)H(7)N(2)O(2) (+)·NO(3) (-), the monoprotonated cation is connected to the nitrate anion by a hydrogen bond. Weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds hold the planar cations together in a layer structure.
