ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Au(C(9)H(9)N)(2)]BF(4), the Au(I) cation adopts an almost linear AuC(2) geometry. The cation is bowed due to crystal packing effects, and the dihedral angle between the xylyl rings is 52.3 (7)°.
