ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Mn(C(5)H(6)N(3)O)(2)(C(3)H(7)NO)]ClO(4), the Mn(III) atom lies on the inversion centre of the centrosymmetric complex cation and has a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry, formed by two N atoms and two O atoms from two 1-methyl-imidazole-2-carbaldehyde oximate ligands and two O atoms from two dimethyl-formamide ligands. Perchlorate acts as a counterion to balance the charge. The crystal structure of the title compound is stabilized by C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:In the title complex, [Mn(C(7)H(5)O(3))(C(27)H(27)N(7))(C(3)H(7)NO)]ClO(4)·C(3)H(7)NO, the Mn(II) ion is coordinated in a slightly distorted monocapped trigonal-prismatic geometry. The tris-(1-methyl-1H-benzimidazol-2-ylmeth-yl)amine (Mentb) ligand coordinates in a tetra-dentate mode and the coordination is completed by a bis-chelating salicylate ligand and a dimethyl-formamide ligand. The hy-droxy group and the ortho H atoms of the salicylate ligand were refined as disordered over two sites with occupancies of 0.581 (8) and 0.419 (8). Both disorder components of the hy-droxy group form intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, [Mn(C(3)H(7)NO)(6)][Cr(NCS)(5)(C(3)H(7)NO)], was obtained unintentionally as a product of an attempted synthesis of heterometallic complexes based on Reineckes anion using manganese powder, Reineckes salt and 1-(2-hy-droxy-eth-yl)tetra-zole as starting materials. The crystal structure of the complex consists of an [Mn(dmf)(6)](2+) cation and a [Cr(NCS)(5)(dmf)](2-) anion (dmf = dimethyl-formamide). The Mn(II) and Cr(III) atoms show a slightly distorted octa-hedral MnO(6) and CrN(5)O coordination geometries with adjacent angles in the range 85.29 (13)-95.96 (14)°.

Project description:The title Mn(II) complex, [Mn(C(9)H(10)NO(2))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)(H(2)O)(2)], contains two 4-(dimethylamino)benzoate (DMAB) anions, one isonicotinamide (INA) ligand and two coordinated water mol-ecules. One of the DMAB anions acts as a bidentate ligand, while the other is monodentate. The four O atoms in the equatorial plane around the Mn atom form a highly distorted square-planar arrangement, while the distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry is completed by the N atom of the INA ligand and the O atom of the second water mol-ecule in the axial positions. In the crystal structure, strong inter-molecular O-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a two-dimensional network parallel to (010). Two weak C-H⋯π inter-actions are also found.

The N atoms of the 4-nitrophenylcyanamide anions form the equatorial plane and the O atoms of the dimethyl-formamide mol-ecules occupy the axial positions. The anions act as bridging ligands, connecting the Cd atoms into a one-dimensional coordination polymer along [100].

Project description:The title compound, [Mn(C(3)H(7)NO)(6)][Fe(2)Cl(6)O], was obtained unintentionally as a product of an attempted synthesis of heterometallic complexes with Schiff base ligands using manganese powder and FeCl(3)·6H(2)O as starting materials. In the [Fe(2)OCl(6)](2-) anion, the O atom and the Fe atom occupy positions with site symmetry [Formula: see text] and 3, respectively, resulting in a linear Fe-O-Fe angle and a staggered conformation. The octa-hedrally surrounded cation (site symmetry [Formula: see text]) and the [Fe(2)Cl(6)O](2-) anion are alternately stacked along [001].
