Diethyl-enetriaminium hexa-fluorido-titanate(IV) fluoride.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, (C(6)H(21)N(4))[TiF(6)]F, was synthesized by the reaction of TiO(2), tris-(2-amino-ethyl)amine, HF and ethanol at 463 K in a microwave oven. The crystal structure consists of two crystallographically independent [TiF(6)](2-) anions, two fluoride anions and two triply-protonated tris-(2-amino-ethyl)-amine cations. The Ti atoms are coordinated by six F atoms within slightly distorted octa-hedra. The anions and cations are connected by inter-molecular N-H⋯F hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the complex cation of the binuclear solvated title salt, [Pt2F(SbF6)2(C8H12)2]SbF6·0.75HF, an F atom bridges the two platinum(II) atoms with a bond angle of 123.3 (2)°. The corresponding Pt-F bond lengths are in the range of other fluorine-bridged binuclear platinum(II) complexes. Two of the three SbF6 (-) anions each coordinate with one F atom to one platinum(II) atom. Including the η(4)-bound cyclo-octa-diene (COD) ligands, the overall coordination sphere of each platinum(II) atom is square-planar. The third SbF6 (-) anion is not bound to the complex. Hydrogen fluoride is present in the crystal structure as a solvent disordered over three positions, each with an occupancy of 0.25. F⋯F distances of 2.5512 (7), 2.6076 (8) and 3.2215 (10) Å to surrounding SbF6 (-) anions are indicative of F-H⋯F hydrogen-bonding inter-actions although no H atoms could be localized for the disordered solvent mol-ecules. The resulting hydrogen-bonded network is three-dimensional.

Crystal structure of bis-(propane-1,3-di-ammonium) hexa-fluorido-aluminate fluoride trihydrate.

Project description:The title compound, (C3H10N2)2[AlF6]F·3H2O, was obtained using the solvothermal method with aluminium hydroxide, HF and propane-1,3-di-amine as precursors in ethanol as solvent. The structure consists of isolated [AlF6](3-) octa-hedra, diprotonated propane-1,3-di-amine cations [(H2dap)(2+)], free fluoride ions and water mol-ecules of solvation. The Al-F bond lengths in the octa-hedral [AlF6](3-) anions range from 1.7690 (19) to 1.8130 (19) Å, with an average value of 1.794 Å. Each [AlF6](3-) anion is surrounded by three water mol-ecules and by six diprotonated amine cations. The 'free' fluoride ion is hydrogen bonded to four H atoms belonging to four dications and has a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The three water mol-ecules are connected by hydrogen bonds, forming trimers that connect the AlF6 octa-hedra and dications into a three-dimensional framework.

Syntheses, Raman spectroscopy and crystal structures of alkali hexa-fluorido-rhenates(IV) revisited.

Project description:The A2[ReF6] (A = K, Rb and Cs) salts are isotypic and crystallize in the trigonal space group type P [Formula: see text] m1, adopting the K2[GeF6] structure type. Common to all A2[ReF6] structures are slightly distorted octa-hedral [ReF6]2- anions with an average Re-F bond length of 1.951 (8) Å. In those salts, symmetry lowering on the local [ReF6]2- anions from Oh (free anion) to D3d (solid-state structure) occur. The distortions of the [ReF6]2- anions, as observed in their Raman spectra, are correlated to the size of the counter-cations.

Project description:At 223 (2) K, the complexed rings in the iron(II) complex cation of the title salt, [Fe(C(5)H(5))(C(15)H(20)O(4))]PF(6), are almost parallel [dihedral angle between planes = 4.10 (14)°]. Among the C atoms of the complexed arene ring, the quaternary C atom is located at the longest distance from the Fe atom. The F atoms of the PF(6) (-) anion were found to be equally disordered over two sites.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 2C5H6N5 (+)·SiF6 (2-)·2H2O, contains one adeninium cation, half of a hexa-fluorido-silicate anion located on an inversion centre and one lattice water mol-ecule. The adeninium cations are connected through N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds involving one H atom of the -NH2 group and the H atom of the protonated N atom of the adenine ring system, forming centrosymmetric ring motifs of the type R 2 (2)(10) and R 2 (2)(8), respectively. The overall connection of the cation leads to the formation of planar ribbons parallel to (122). In the ribbons, slipped π-π stacking inter-actions, with a centroid-to-centroid distance of 3.6938 (9) Å, an inter-planar distance of 3.455 Å and a slippage of 1.306 Å is observed. The hexa-fluorido-silicate anion and the water mol-ecule are linked through O-H⋯F hydrogen bonds [ring motif R 4 (4)(12)] into chains parallel to [100]. The cationic ribbons and anionic chains are finally connected through additional N-H⋯O, N-H⋯F and O-H⋯F hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network in which layers of adeninium cations and fluorido-silicate anions alternate parallel to (001).

Project description:In the title compound, [Ru(C10H10N6)(C7H10N2)3](PF6)2·C4H10O, the Ru(II) cation is coordinated by one tris-(1-pyrazol-yl)methane (Tpm) and three dimethylaminopyridine (dmap) ligands in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The asymmetric unit consists of one complex cation, two hexa-fluorido-phosphate anions and one diethyl ether solvent mol-ecule in general positions. Although quite a large number of ruthenium complexes of the facially coordinating tridentate Tpm ligand have been structurally characterized, this is only the second one containing three pyridyl co-ligands. The average Ru-N(Tpm) distance is 2.059 (12) Å, while the average Ru-N(dmap) [dmap = 4-(di-methyl-amino)-pyridine] distance is somewhat longer at 2.108 (13) Å. The orientation of the dmap ligands varies greatly, with dihedral angles between the pyridyl and opposite pyrazolyl rings of 14.3 (2), 23.2 (2) and 61.2 (2)°.

Project description:The title compound, [Ru(C19H13N5)2](PF6)2·3C4H10O, was obtained from the reaction of Ru(bimpy)Cl3 [bimpy is 2,6-bis-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine] and bimpy in refluxing ethanol followed by recrystallization from diethyl ether/aceto-nitrile. At 125 K the complex has ortho-rhom-bic (Pca21) symmetry. It is remarkable that the structure is almost centrosymmetric. However, refinement in space group Pbcn leads to disorder and definitely worse results. It is of inter-est with respect to potential catalytic reduction of CO2. The structure displays N-H⋯O, N-H⋯F hydrogen bonding and significant π-π stacking and C-H⋯π stacking inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(46)H(34)N(6))(CO)]PF(6)·0.75CH(2)Cl(2)·0.25C(4)H(10)O, the Cu(I) atom is coordinated by three N atoms from the tridentate chelating tris-(3,5-diphenyl-pyrazol-1-yl)methane ligand (average Cu-N distance = 2.055 Å) and the C atom from a carbon monoxide ligand in a distorted tetra-hedral coordination geometry. The average N-Cu-N angle between adjacent pyrazole-ring-coordinated N atoms is 88.6°, while the average N-Cu-C angle between the pyrazole-bound N atom and the C atom of carbon monoxide is 126.3°. One of the 3-phenyl rings of the tris-(pyrazol-yl)methane ligand is disordered over two sites each with an occupancy factor of 0.50. The structure also exhibits disorder of the monosolvate that has been modeled with 0.75 CH(2)Cl(2) and 0.25 Et(2)O occupancy.

Project description:The cationic complex in the title compound, [RuCl(C10H8N2)(C19H20N3O3P)]PF6·0.83CH3CN·0.17H2O, is a water-oxidation precatalyst functionalized for TiO2 attachment via terpyridine phospho-nate. The The Ru(II) atom in the complex has a distorted octa-hedral geometry due to the restricted bite angle [159.50 (18)°] of the terpyridyl ligand. The dihedral angle between the least-squares planes of the terpyridyl and bipyridyl moieties is 86.04 (14)°. The mean Ru-N bond length for bi-pyridine is 2.064 (5) Å, with the bond opposite to Ru-Cl being 0.068 Å shorter. For the substituted terpyridine, the mean Ru-N distance involving the outer N atoms trans to each other is 2.057 (6) Å, whereas the bond length involving the central N atom is 1.944 (5) Å. The Ru-Cl distance is 2.4073 (15) Å. The P atom of the phospho-nate group lies in the same plane as its adjacent pyridyl ring, with the ordinary character of the bond between P and Ctpy [1.801 (6) Å] allowing for free rotation of the terpyridine substituent around the P-Ctpy axis. The aceto-nitrile solvent mol-ecule was refined to be disordered with two water mol-ecules; occupancies for the acetontrile and water mol-ecules were 0.831 (9) and 0.169 (9), respectively. Also disordered was the PF6 (-) counter-ion (over three positions) and one of the eth-oxy substituents (with two positions). The crystal structure shows significant intra- and inter-molecular H⋯X contacts, especially some involving the Cl(-) ligand.
