Poly[di-μ(3)-chlorido-[μ(2)-(3-pyrid-yl)(4-pyrid-yl)methanone-κN:N']dicopper(I)].

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Cu(2)Cl(2)(C(11)H(8)N(2)O)](n), stair-like ribbons of formula [Cu(2)Cl(2)](n) are linked into coordination polymer layers by tethering (3-pyrid-yl)(4-pyrid-yl)methanone (3,4'-dpk) ligands. The two distinct Cu(I) centres both adopt distorted CuNCl(3) tetra-hedral coordinations. Individual [Cu(2)Cl(2)(3,4'-dpk)](n) layers stack in an AB pattern along the c direction by way of weak C-H⋯O inter-actions between the pyridyl rings and ketone O atoms.

Project description:The title three-dimensional coordination polymer, [Cu(2)Cl(C(6)H(4)N(5))](n), is the product of the hydro-thermal reaction of CuCl(2)·2H(2)O and 5-(4-pyrid-yl)-1H-tetra-zole (4-Hptz). The two independent Cu(I) ions are coordinated in distorted tetra-hedral and distorted trigonal coordination environments. In the unique 5-(4-pyrid-yl)-1H-tetra-zolate ligand, the dihedral angle between the pyridine and tetra-zole rings is 17.3 (2)°.

Project description:The dimeric title compound, [Cu(2)(C(9)H(10)N(3)O)(2)(N(3))(2)], is located on a crystallographic inversion center. The Cu atom is coordinated by a tridentate anionic hydrazone ligand and two bridging azide ligands in a distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry. The non-bonding Cu⋯Cu distance is 3.238 (1) Å. Non-classical inter-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the dimers into chains along the c axis.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Cu(2)(CN)(2)(C(20)H(16)N(6)S(2))](n), contains one Cu(I) cation, one cyanide ligand and half of a centrosymmetric 1,2-bis-[4-(3-pyrid-yl)pyrimidin-2-ylsulfan-yl]ethane (bppe) ligand. The Cu(I) atom displays a trigonal coordination geometry, being surrounded by one C atom from one cyanide anion and two N atoms from one cyanide and one bppe ligand. In the complex, each cyanide anion links two Cu(I) atoms in a bis-monodentate mode into a zigzag [-Cu-CN-](n) chain. Two parallel chains are linked by bppe ligands into a ladder chain.

In the complex, there is an intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bond. In the crystal, the binuclear units are connected by inter-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, as well as π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.526 (2) and 3.696 (2) Å], forming a two-dimensional layered structure parallel to (010).

Project description:The title polymer, [Cu(2)Cl(2)(C(9)H(9)N(5))(2)](n), has been prepared by the solvothermal treatment of CuCl with 4-(2-allyl-2H-tetra-zol-5-yl)pyridine. The crystal structure shows that the title compound is a homometallic Cu(I)-olefin coordination polymer, in which the Cu(2)Cl(2) nodes are bridged by two olefin ligands. The asymmetric unit contains one-half of the monomer, the complete monomer having twofold rotation symmetry. The coordination environment of Cu(I) is slightly distorted tetra-hedral, with coordination sites being two μ(2)-Cl atoms, one pyridine N atom of an organic ligand and one allylic double bond of a symmetry-related ligand. Each organic mol-ecule behaves as a bidentate ligand, connecting two neighboring Cu(2)Cl(2) dimers in the polymeric chain, which runs along [010].

Project description:The title compound, [PbCl(2)(C(17)H(9)NO(3))](n), was synthesized by the hydro-thermal reaction of PbCl(2) and liriodenine. The lead(II) atom has a distorted octa-hedral environment made up of the O and N atoms of the liriodenine ligand [Pb-O 2.666 (4) Å, Pb-N 2.587 (5) Å, O-Pb-N 61.78 (14)°] and four bridging chloro ligands, which link the complex mol-ecules into infinite chains along the a axis. Both crystallographically independent chloro-bridges are asymmetric, so that the Pb atom participates in two short [2.6872 (18) and 2.7952 (18) Å] and two noticeably longer Pb-Cl bonds [2.9626 (18) and 3.031 (2) Å].

Project description:In the title compound, [Cd(NCS)(2)(C(7)H(7)NO)](n), the Cd(2+) ion is six-coordinated by one N,O-bidentate 1-(2-pyridyletahanone ligand, two N-bonded thio-cyanate ions and two S-bonded thio-cyanate ions. In the resulting distorted CdOS(2)N(3) octa-hedron, the N atoms adopt a fac arrangement. The bridging thio-cyanate ions lead to infinite sheets oriented parallel to (101) in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the crystal of the dinuclear title compound, [Cu(2)(C(13)H(13)N(2)O)(2)(ClO(4))(2)]·2CH(3)CN, the two bridging perchlorate ions chelate to the two Cu(II) atoms in a μ-O:O' fashion on opposite sides of the equatorial plane. The Cu(II) ions display a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry (in the usual 4 + 2 Jahn-Teller arrangement), each being coordinated by two O atoms from the two perchlorate ligands, and two N and O atoms from the reduced Schiff base ligand. The asymmetric unit contains two acetonitrile solvent mol-ecules. In the crystal structure, in addition to N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, there are weak C-H⋯O inter-actions between the perchlorate O atoms and the reduced Schiff base ligand. C-H⋯N inter-actions are also present.
