ABSTRACT: In the title centrosymmetric dinuclear complex, [Cu(2)(C(15)H(11)BrN(2)O(3)S)(2)(C(2)H(6)OS)(2)], the Cu(II) ion is N,O-chelated by a dianionic ligand, monocoordinated by the sulfonamide N atom of a symmetry-related ligand and coordinated by an O atom from a dimethyl sulfoxide ligand, forming a distorted square-planar coordination geometry.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu2(C11H13N3O3S)2(C2H6OS)2], the Cu(II) cation is N,N',O-chelated by a deprotonated hy-droxy-imino-tosyl-hydrazone ligand and coordinated by a dimethyl sulfoxide mol-ecule. One O atom from the adjacent hy-droxy-imino-tosyl-hydrazone ligand bridges the Cu(II) cation, forming the centrosymmetric dimeric complex. The cation is in an overall distorted N2O3 square-pyramidal coordination environment. The methyl-benzene ring is twisted with respect to the hydrazine fragment, with a dihedral angle of 89.54 (9)° between the planes. An intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by weak C-H⋯O and C-H⋯S inter-actions. Weak π-π stacking is also observed between parallel benzene rings of adjacent mol-ecules, the centroid-centroid distance being 3.9592 (17) Å.

The pyridine mol-ecule forms a dihedral angle of 9.99 (11)° with the least-squares plane through the NiN(2)O(2) atoms.

The Ni(II) atom is coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry by the O and N atoms of two trans arranged anionic bidentate hydrazone ligands forming the equatorial plane and by the N atoms of two pyridine mol-ecules at the axial positions. In the crystal, inter-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into columns parallel to the b axis.

The Cd(II) atom is six coordinated by two bidentate sulfadiazinate anions and two dimethyl-sulfoxide mol-ecules. The resulting N(4)O(2) donor set displays a distorted trigonal-prismatic coordination geometry. The S atom and methyl groups of dimethyl-sulfoxide are disordered over two sets of sites, with site occupancies of 0.715 (4) and 0.285 (4). The crystal structure features inter-molecular N-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds that lead to the formation of layers in the ab plane.

Project description:The title compound, [Zn(C(7)H(4)N(2)O(3)S)(2)(C(2)H(6)OS)(2)], is a neutral four-coordinate complex with a tetra-hedral geometry. The metal atom is surrounded by the two dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) ligands, each coordinating through the O atom, and two anionic saccharinate (1,1,3-trioxo-2,3-dihydro-1λ(6),2-benzo-thia-zol-2-ide) ligands coordinating through the N atom. The tetra-hedral geometry is slightly distorted as is evident from the N-Zn-N bond angle of 113.85 (6)°, the O-Zn-O bond angle of 98.92 (6)° and O-Zn-N bond angles of 116.96 (6) and 103.93 (6)°. The Zn-N bond lengths are 1.9742 (15) and 2.0025 (16) Å. The Zn-O bond lengths are 1.9806 (14) Å and 1.9468 (14) Å. The DMSO ligand coordinates through the lone pair of electrons on the O atom, as can be seen from the Zn-O-S bond angle of 131.30 (8)°.

Project description:The title complex, [Co(C(7)H(4)NO(3)S)(2)(C(2)H(6)OS)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], contains a Co(2+) cation in an octa-hedral coordination environment. The metal atom is surrounded by two different neutral ligands, namely dimethyl-sulfoxide (DMSO) and water, each coordinating through the O atom. The anionic saccharinate (sac; 1,1,3-trioxo-2,3-dihydro-1λ(6),2-benzothia-zol-2-ide) ligand coordinates through the N atom. Each of the three similar ligand pairs is in a trans configuration with respect to each other. The Co atom lies on a crystallographic center of symmetry and the octa-hedral geometry is not significantly distorted. A short O-H⋯O hydrogen bond is present between a water H atom and the ketone O atom; two longer hydrogen bonds (intra- and inter-molecular) are also present between a water H and a sulfonic O atom, forming a supramolecular assembly through head-to-tail aggregation between adjacent complexes.

The Bi(III) ion is coordinated in a distorted tricapped trigonal-prismatic geometry, defined by two N atoms of the bipy ligand, four O atoms of two HBTC(2-) anions, two O atoms of a nitrate anion and one O atom of a dimethyl sulfoxide ligand. The crystal packing is stabilized by O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The S atom of the non-coordinating dimethyl sulfoxide mol-ecule is disordered over two sets of sites with refined site-occupancies of 0.430 (19) and 0.570 (19).

Project description:The title Ni(II) complex, [Ni(C(7)H(4)BrO(2))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], is centrosymmetric. It contains two 2-bromo-benzoate (BB) ligands, two nicotinamide (NA) ligands and two water mol-ecules, all of them being monodentate. The four O atoms in the equatorial plane around the Ni atom form a slightly distorted square-planar arrangement, while the slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination is completed by the two N atoms of the NA ligands in the axial positions. The dihedral angle between the carboxyl-ate group and the adjacent benzene ring is 30.81 (17)°, while the pyridine and benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 84.66 (6)°. In the crystal structure, O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a supra-molecular structure. A weak C-H⋯π inter-action is also found.
