Diaqua-bis(5-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxyl-ato)copper(II).

ABSTRACT: In the centrosymmetric title compound, [Cu(C(10)H(7)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the Cu(II) ion occupies an inversion centre and exhibits a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The phenyl and pyrazole rings of the ligand are twisted by an angle of 11.36 (8)°. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked into a two-dimensional network parallel to the (010) plane by O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
