ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(14)H(18)O(5)S, is an important inter-mediate for the synthesis of poly(amido-amine) dendrimers. The cyclo-hexane ring adopts a chair conformation with its two substituents in equatorial positions. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules form centrosymmetric dimers via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
