ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Cd(NO(3))(2)(C(4)H(5)N(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O, the Cd atom is seven-coordinated by two 2-amino-pyrimidine mol-ecules, two water mol-ecules, one bidentate nitrate anion and one monodentate nitrate anion. A network of N-H⋯O, N-H⋯N and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds helps to consolidate the crystal structure.

Project description:The reaction of Ni(NO(3))(2)·6H(2)O with pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, NaOH and 2-amino-pyrimidine in aqueous solution leads to the formation of the title complex, [Ni(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(C(4)H(5)N(3))(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O. The Ni(II) ion is coordinated by one N and two O atoms of the tridentate chelating pyridine-2,6-dicarboxyl-ate anion, one heterocyclic N atom of the 2-amino-pyrimidine ligand, and two water mol-ecules. The resulting geometry for the [NiN(2)O(4)] coordination environment can be described as distorted octa-hedral. One uncoord-inated water mol-ecule completes the asymmetric unit. Extensive O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the NH(2) group of 2-amino-pyrimidine, carboxyl-ate groups, and coordinated and uncoordinated water mol-ecules contribute to the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cd(C(8)H(7)O(2))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)(2)(H(2)O)]·H(2)O, the Cd(II) cation is coordinated by two 4-methyl-benzoate (PMB) anions, two isonicotinamide (INA) ligands and one water mol-ecule in a distorted octa-hedral CdN(2)O(4) geometry. One of PMB ions acts as a bidentate ligand while the other and the two INA are monodentate ligands. An O-H⋯O hydrogen bond links the uncoordinated water mol-ecule to the carboxyl groups of the complex. The dihedral angles between the carboxyl groups and the adjacent benzene rings are 10.28 (11) and 21.24 (9)°, while the two benzene rings and the two pyridine rings are oriented at dihedral angles of 6.90 (4) and 88.64 (4)°, respectively. In the crystal structure, O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a supra-molecular structure. A π-π contact between the benzene rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.911 (1) Å] may further stabilize the crystal structure. Weak C-H⋯π inter-actions involving the pyridine rings also occur in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cd(C(10)H(9)N(4)O(2)S)(2)(C(3)H(7)NO)(2)(H(2)O)]·H(2)O, the Cd(II) ion displays a grossly distorted octa-hedral (or irregular) mer-CdN(3)O(3) coodination polyhdron arising from its coordination by one N,N'-bidentate sulfadiazinate anion, one monodentate sulfadiazinate anion, two O-bonded dimethyl-formamide molecules and one water mol-ecule. A short Cd⋯N contact [2.890 (3) Å] to the monodentate sulfadiazinate ion also occurs. The dihedral angles between the planes of the aromatic rings of the anions are 86.81 (14) and 68.65 (14)°. The crystal structure features inter-molecular N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

The four O atoms in the equatorial plane around the Ni atom form a slightly distorted square-planar arrangement, while the slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination is completed by the two N atoms of the NA ligands in the axial positions. The dihedral angle between the carboxyl-ate group and the adjacent benzene ring is 2.09 (14)°, while the pyridine and benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 66.15 (4)°. The dihedral angle between the carboxyl-ate groups and the adjacent benzene rings are 17.53 (13) and 16.55 (14)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O, N-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a supra-molecular structure. The amide group of one of the INA ligands is disordered over two orientations, with an occupancy ratio of 0.759 (3):0.241 (3).

The uncoordinated water mol-ecule is linked to nicotinamide ligands by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network. A weak N-H⋯π inter-action also occurs.
