Ammonium 1-hydr-oxy-2-naphthoate.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, NH(4) (+)·C(11)H(7)O(3) (-), was obtained by slow evaporation of a 30% ammonia solution of 1-hydr-oxy-2-naphthoic acid. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the bc plane.
