ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Cu(C(14)H(10)N(3)O)(2)(C(3)H(7)NO)], the Cu(II) atom is five-coordinated by two N,O-bidentate 2-benzamido-benzimidazolate anions and one O-coordinated dimethyl-formamide (DMF) mol-ecule, resulting in a distorted square-based pyramidal CuN(2)O(3) geometry for the metal atom, with the DMF O atom at the apical site. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds result in chains of mol-ecules propagating along [100].

In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O, O-H⋯(O,O) and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the components into a three-dimensional network. The O atoms of the sulfonate group are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.833 (4):0.167 (4) ratio and the O atom of the uncoordinated water mol-ecule is disordered over two sites in a 0.637 (18):0.363 (18) ratio.

Project description:In the mononuclear title complex, [Cu(CH(3)COO)(2)(C(7)H(10)N(2))(2)], the Cu(II) ion, located on a crystallographic inversion centre, is six coordinated by two N atoms of two 4-(dimethyl-amino)-pyridine (DMAP) ligands in apical positions and four O atoms from two symmetry-related opposite acetate anions, which are asymmetrically bonded in the equatorial plane. The complex and the crystal packing of the complex are stabilized by intra- and inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, giving R(4) (2)(10) rings and generating a layer-like structure.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(2)H(3)O(2))(2)(C(5)H(8)N(2))(2)], the Cu(II) atom has a distorted tetra-gonal-bipyramidal geometry, with the equatorial plane formed by two N atoms belonging to two 3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole ligands and two O atoms from two acetate anions. The second O atoms of the acetate groups provide elongated Cu-O axial contacts, so that the acetates appear to be coordinated in a pseudo-chelate fashion. The pyrazole ligands are situated in cis positions with respect to each other. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked through inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a one-dimensional chain.

Project description:In the centrosymmetric dinuclear title complex, [Cu(2)(C(12)H(6)O(4))(2)(C(3)H(7)NO)(4)(H(2)O)(2)], the coordination environment of each Cu(II) atom displays a distorted CuO(5) square-pyramidal geometry, which is formed by two carboxyl-ate O atoms of two μ-1,8-nap ligands (1,8-nap is naphthalene-1,8-dicarboxyl-ate), two O atoms of two DMF (DMF is N,N'-dimethyl-formamide) and one coordinated water mol-ecule. The Cu-O distances involving the four O atoms in the square plane are in the range 1.9501 (11)-1.9677 (11) Å, with the Cu atom lying nearly in the plane [deviation = 0.0726 (2) Å]. The axial O atom occupies the peak position with a Cu-O distance of 2.885 (12) Å, which is significantly longer than the rest of the Cu-O distances. Each 1,8-nap ligand acts as bridge, linking two Cu(II) atoms into a dinuclear structure. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions consolidate the structure.

Project description:The title compound, [Mn(C(3)H(7)NO)(6)][Cr(NCS)(5)(C(3)H(7)NO)], was obtained unintentionally as a product of an attempted synthesis of heterometallic complexes based on Reineckes anion using manganese powder, Reineckes salt and 1-(2-hy-droxy-eth-yl)tetra-zole as starting materials. The crystal structure of the complex consists of an [Mn(dmf)(6)](2+) cation and a [Cr(NCS)(5)(dmf)](2-) anion (dmf = dimethyl-formamide). The Mn(II) and Cr(III) atoms show a slightly distorted octa-hedral MnO(6) and CrN(5)O coordination geometries with adjacent angles in the range 85.29 (13)-95.96 (14)°.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Cu(CHO(2))Cl(C(5)H(8)N(2))(3)](2)·[CuCl(2)(C(5)H(8)N(2))(2)] or 2[A]·[B], contains one A mol-ecule and one half-molecule of B, located on a centre of inversion. The Cu(II) environments in A and B are different. In A, the Cu(II) atom is coordinated by three N atoms from three 3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole (L) ligands, one O atom from a formate ligand and a chloride anion in an axial position [Cu-Cl = 2.4275 (7) Å] in a distorted tetra-gonal-pyramidal geometry. The Cu(II) atom in B is coordinated by two N atoms from two L ligands and two chloride anions [Cu-Cl = 2.2524 (6) Å] in a distorted square-planar geometry. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules A into centrosymmetric dimers. Inter-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds further link these dimers with the B mol-ecules, forming chains propagating in [101].

Project description:The binuclear title compound, [Cu(2)(C(7)H(4)N(3)O(2))(4)(C(3)H(7)NO)(2)], is a discrete metal-organic compound having a paddle-wheel-type structure. The Cu⋯Cu distance is 2.6366 (5) Å and an inversion center is located at the mid-point of this bond. The Cu(II) cation is coordinated by four carboxyl-ate O atoms from four 4-azido-benzoate ligands, and one O atom from a dimethyl-formamide mol-ecule, forming an overall distorted octahedral geometry when the Cu⋯Cu bond is also considered.
