ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(14)H(16)N(2)O(2)S, the two aromatic rings make a dihedral angle of 13.9 (1)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by both inter- and intra-molecular N-H⋯O, C-H⋯O and C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, C(9)H(13)NO(2)S, the mean planes of thio-phene ring [maximum deviation = 0.0042 (10) Å] and eth-oxy-carbonyl group [0.0242 (15) Å] are almost coplanar [dihedral angle between them = 0.68 (11)°]. The H atoms of the two methyl groups attached to the thio-phene ring are each disordered over two orientations with site-occupancy ratios of 0.77 (4):0.23 (4) and 0.84 (4):0.16 (4). An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into an infinite wave-like chain running parallel to the b-axis direction. The crystal structure also features C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, C(12)H(12)O(2)S, the asymmetric unit contains two independent mol-ecules. The chiral C atoms of both mol-ecules were established to be in the R configuration. In both mol-ecules, the 2,5-dihydro-thio-phene rings adopt S-envelope conformations wherein the S atoms are displaced by 0.315 (5) and -0.249 (5) Å from the mean planes of the remaining ring atoms. In the crystal, the molecules are linked by weak C-H⋯O interactions.

Project description:In the title compound, C15H15FN2OS, the dihedral angle between the planes of the benzo-thio-phene ring system and the fluoro-benzene ring is 3.74 (14)°. The six-membered ring of the benzo-thio-phene moiety adopts a half-chair conformation. The mol-ecular conformation is consolidated by intra-molecular N-H⋯F and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating C(6) [001] chains.

The N=C double bond shows a trans conformation and the dihedral angle between the aromatic ring planes is 5.9 (4)°. In the crystal structure, there are intra-molecular O-H⋯N and N-H⋯N and inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, the latter resulting in inversion dimers.

Project description:The title compound, C(10)H(12)O(2)S, crystallizes with four mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The main conformational difference between these mol-ecules is the orientation of the acetyl groups with respect to the ring. Whereas one acetyl group is only slightly twisted with respect to the thio-phene ring [C-C-C-O torsion angles = 165.7 (4), -164.6 (4), 164.3 (4) and -163.6 (4)°], the other acetyl group is markly twisted out of the ring plane [C-C-C-O torsion angles = -61.2 (6), 61.3 (7), -59.7 (7) and 59.9 (6)°]. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by weak C-H⋯O inter-actions into infinite chains along the c axis.

Project description:In the title solvate, C(30)H(24)N(4)O(2)S·CH(3)CN, the substituted thiophene possesses approximate C(s)(m) intrinsic symmetry, with the mirror plane passing through the S atom and the mid-point of the (Ph)C-C(Ph) bond. Despite the main backbone of the mol-ecule being a long chain of conjugated bonds, it adopts a non-planar conformation due to the presence of various intra- and inter-molecular hydrogen bonds. The hydrogen bonds result in twist configurations for both the amido and amino-phenyl fragments relative to the central thio-phene ring. There are two intra-molecular N(amine)-H⋯O hydrogen bonds within the thio-phene-2,5-dicarboxamide mol-ecule that form seven-membered rings. In the crystal, the thio-phene-2,5-dicarboxamide mol-ecules form inversion dimers by four amide-amine N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. The dimers are further linked into layers propagating in (100) both directly (via N(amine)-H⋯O hydrogen bonds) and through the acetonitrile solvate mol-ecules (via amine-cyano N-H⋯N and C(Me)-H⋯O inter-actions).
