ABSTRACT: The mol-ecular conformation of the title compound, C(28)H(21)ClN(2), is stabilized by an intra-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bond. It has many pharmacological properties, such as being an inhibitor of P38 MAP Kinase, and can play an important role in biochemical processes.

Project description:The title compound, C26H24Cl2N2, crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules (1 and 2) in the asymmetric unit. In mol-ecule 1, the two phenyl and 2,6-di-chloro-phenyl rings are inclined to the imidazole ring at angles of 74.12 (14), 26.13 (14) and 67.30 (14)°, respectively. In mol-ecule 2, due to the different mol-ecular environment in the crystal, the corresponding angles are different, viz. 71.72 (15), 16.14 (15) and 80.41 (15)°, respectively. In the crystal, mol-ecules 1 and 2 are linked by C-H⋯Cl inter-actions, and inversion-related 2 mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯π inter-actions. There are no other significant inter-molecular inter-actions present.

Project description:The title compound, C27H28N2O, is a lophine (2,4,5-triphenyl-1H-imidazole) derivative with an n-pentyl chain on the amine N atom and a 4-meth-oxy substituent on the benzene ring. The two phenyl and meth-oxy-benzene rings are inclined to the imidazole ring at angles of 25.32?(7), 76.79?(5) and 35.42?(7)°, respectively, while the meth-oxy substituent lies close to the plane of its benzene ring, with a maximum deviation of 0.126?(3)?Å for the meth-oxy C atom. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of C-H?O hydrogen bonds generate R2(2)(22) loops. These dimers are stacked along the a-axis direction.

Project description:In the title compound, C(9)H(9)ClN(2), a substituted imidazoline, the six- and five-membered rings are twisted from each other, making a dihedral angle of 17.07 (5)°. In the crystal structure, a short Cl⋯Cl [3.3540 (3) Å] inter-action is observed. Neighbouring mol-ecules are linked together by inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds into a one-dimensional infinite chain along the [101] direction and short Cl⋯Cl contacts link the chains into a three-dimensional network. There is also a significant π-stacking inter-action between the planar sections of the six- and five-membered rings.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C18H16F2N2·H2O, contains two independent mol-ecules (A and B), and two independent water mol-ecules of crystallization. In mol-ecule A, the imidazole ring makes dihedral angles of 47.46 (7) and 60.98 (6)° with the 2,4-di-fluoro-phenyl and methyl-phenyl rings, respectively. The corresponding angles in mol-ecule B are 45.85 (7) and 62.78 (7)°, respectively. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 64.98 (7)° in mol-ecule A and 65.53 (7)° in mol-ecule B. In the crystal, the two independent mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯N and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along [100]. Project description:In the title compound, C(19)H(14)N(4), which was crystallized from dimethyl sulfoxide, the arene and heterocyclic rings of the lophine analogue framework differ only slightly from coplanarity (dihedral angles range from 8.8 to 20.2°), and intramolecular N-H⋯N and C-H⋯N interactions help to establish the conformation. The crystal packing features a number of weak C-H⋯N, N-H⋯N hydrogen-bond type contacts, and C-H⋯π interactions, leading to the formation of a herringbone structure.
