ABSTRACT: The title Schiff base compound, C(15)H(12)BrClN(2)O(2), crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The mol-ecules adopt an E configuration with respect to the C=N double bond. The dihedral angles between the benzene rings are 24.4 (2) and 9.4 (2)° in the two mol-ecules. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains running along the b axis.
