Catena-Poly[[chloridocobalt(II)]-μ-5-(8-quinolyloxymeth-yl)tetra-zolato-κN,O,N:N].

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Co(C(11)H(8)N(5)O)Cl](n), the Co(II) atom is penta-coordinated by one O atom and two N atoms from a 5-(8-quinolyloxymeth-yl)tetra-zolate ligand, one N atom from another symmetry-related ligand, and a Cl atom. The coordination geometry can be described as slightly distorted trigonal-bipyramidal. Adjacent Co atoms are connected by the bridging tetra-zole groups into a chain. The dihedral angle between the quinoline and tetra-zole planes is 21.2 (1)°. The structure involves intra- and inter-chain C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The polymeric title compound, [Zn(C(7)H(6)N(5))(2)](n), was synthesized by the hydro-thermal reaction of Zn(NO(3))(2) with 2-amino-benzonitrile in the presence of NaN(3). The zinc(II) metal centre displays a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment provided by N atoms of two bidentate chelating and two monodentate 5-(2-amino-phen-yl)tetra-zolate ligands. These ligands act as bridges, linking adjacent Zn atoms into polymeric criss-crossed chains parallel to the [110] and [10] directions. Intra-chain N-H⋯N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions are observed.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title complex, [Cu(C(6)H(4)N(5))(2)(CH(3)OH)(2)](n), the Cu(II) cation lies on an inversion center and is coordinated by four 5-(3-pyrid-yl)tetra-zolate anions and two methanol mol-ecules in an elongated distorted CuN(4)O(2) octa-hedral geometry. Each 5-(3-pyrid-yl)tetra-zolate anion bridges two Cu(II) cations, forming a two-dimensional polymeric complex with (4,4) network topology. In the crystal structure, the two-dimensional layers are connected by inter-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonding, forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, [Mn(C(11)H(8)N(5)O)(N(3))](n), the Mn atoms are hexa-coordinated by five N atoms and one O atom. The coordination polyhedron of the Mn atom is a slightly distorted octa-hedron. The Mn atoms are connected by azide anions with a μ(2)-1,1 mode and by 5-(8-quinolyloxymeth-yl)tetra-zolate ligands in a μ(2)-η(1)(N),η(3)-(N,N,O) fashion to form a two-dimensional framework parallel to the (100) plane. Geometric parameters of the organic ligand are in the normal ranges and the dihedral angle between the quinoline ring system and the tetra-zole unit is 7.41 (15)°. The structure involves intra- and inter-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title complex, [Zn(C(5)H(9)N(4))(2)](n), the Zn(II) center is coordinated by four N atoms of different tetra-zolate ligands with a slightly distorted tetra-hedral geometry [Zn-N distances and N-Zn-N angles are in the ranges 1.991 (2)-2.007 (2) Å and 104.22 (8)-116.13 (8)°, respectively]. Each ligand links two Zn(II) atoms through its 1- and 4-position tetra-zole N atoms, forming a single, fully connected three-dimensional framework with a diamond-like topology. One is tetra-hedrally coordinated by two O and two N from two ligands, the other is octa-hedrally coordinated by two N and two O from two ligands at equatorial sites and by two O atoms of water mol-ecules at axial sites, resulting in a two-dimensional framework. Project description:In the polymeric title compound, {[Cd(C(8)H(12)N(6))(H(2)O)(4)]SO(4)}(n), the Cd(II) atom is located on an inversion center and coordinated by four water mol-ecules and two 1,4-bis-(1,2,4-triazol-yl)butane ligands in a distorted CdO(4)N(2) octa-hedral geometry. The 1,4-bis-(1,2,4-triazol-yl)butane ligand is centrosymmetric, the mid-point of the central C-C bond being located on an inversion center. It links adjacent water-coordinated metal atoms into polymeric chains running along the c axis. Adjacent chains are linked by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. The S atom of the sulfate anion is located on a twofold rotation axis, thus the sulfate anion is equally disordered over two sites. The sulfate anion links with the polymeric chains via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.
