ABSTRACT: The mol-ecules of the title compound, C(16)H(16)O(2), display an intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond between the hydroxyl donor and the ketone acceptor. Inter-molecular C-H⋯π inter-actions connect adjacent mol-ecules into chains that propagate parallel to the ac diagonal. The chains are arranged in sheets, and mol-ecules in adjacent sheets inter-act via inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur, leading to R(2) (1)(8) loops, and C-H⋯O and weak C-H⋯π inter-actions are also seen.

Project description:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(16)H(19)O(4)P, the coordination around the P atom is distorted tetra-hedral. The aromatic rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 72.28 (11)°. Intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding result in the formation of five- and six-membered rings. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules. There is also a weak C-H⋯π inter-action.

Project description:In the crystal of the title compound, C(16)H(19)O(4)P, the mol-ecules are dimerized with R(2) (2)(10) ring motifs through the hydr-oxy and P=O O atoms. The dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 66.89 (9)°. There are π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.9669 (16) Å] between the benzene rings of adjacent benzyl groups. A C-H⋯π inter-action between the aromatic rings where C-H is from a benzyl group is also present.

Project description:In the title compound, C(22)H(23)NO(3)S, the relative stereochemistry of the two stereogenic centres is anti with respect to the H atoms. The mol-ecular packing of the crystal shows a double-strand arrangement, consisting of one strand of (S*,S*) enanti-omers and one strand of (R*,R*) enanti-omers. Both strands lie parallel to each other along the a axis. Each strand is made up of dimers in which the mol-ecules are connected to each other via an inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond between the hydroxyl groups and an O-H⋯π inter-action with the aromatic ring. These units are then connected to neighbouring dimers via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and C-H⋯O interactions. Intramolecular C-H⋯O interactions are also observed.
