N-(Benzothia-zol-2-yl)butyramide.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(11)H(12)N(2)OS, was synthesized from 2-amino-benzothia-zole and butanoyl chloride in anhydrous acetone. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and by C-H⋯π inter-actions.

The cations and anions are linked by cyclic R(2) (1)(6) N-H?Cl hydrogen-bonding associations, generating helical chains running along the b-axis direction.

Project description:In the title compound, C(16)H(13)N(3)S(2), the dihedral angle between the two benzothia-zole ring systems is 20.41 (2)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules into a chain along the b axis. The packing is further stabilized by C-H⋯π stacking inter-actions involving the two benzothia-zole ring systems.

Project description:In the title comound, C(8)H(8)N(4)S, one of the two independent mol-ecules is essentially planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.025 Å), while the other is slightly buckled (r.m.s. deviation = 0.131 Å) with the guanidine unit bent out of the plane of the fused-ring system by 16.8 (1)°. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds between the two independent mol-ecules give rise to a hydrogen-bonded dimer. Addtional weak inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds connect these dimers into chains along [010]. An intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bond is also observed in each independent mol-ecule.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(14)H(9)ClN(2)OS, exists in the solid state in its amide form with a typical C=O bond length, as well as shortened C-N bonds. The plane containing the HNCO atoms subtends dihedral angles of 12.3 (4) and 8.1 (3)° with the planes of the phenyl ring and benzothia-zole group, respectively, whereas the dihedral angle between the planes of the phenyl ring and the benzothia-zole group is 5.96 (6)°. Project description:The title compound, C(20)H(12)N(2)S(2), was prepared by the reaction of o-phthalic acid and 2-amino-thio-phenol under microwave irradation. The phenyl ring, A, and the benzothia-zolyl rings, B and C, are planar; the dihedral angles are A/B = 19.9 (11), A/C = 87.8 (3) and B/C = 84.4 (4)°. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecule, forming zigzag chains parallel to the c axis.
