Catena-Poly[copper(I)-bis(μ-trifluoro-methane-sulfonato-κO:O')-copper(I)-bis(μ-trimethyl trithio-phosphite)-κP:S;κS:P].

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Cu(2)(CF(3)SO(3))(2)(C(3)H(9)PS(3))(2)](n), crystallizes as infinite chains in which two trimethyl trithio-phosphite ligands and two trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anions bridge the essentially tetra-hedrally coordinated Cu(I) ions in an alternating fashion. The P and one S atom of each trimethyl trithio-phosphite ligand are employed for coordination. The mol-ecular structure exhibits the rare motif of copper(I) bridged by two trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anions generating eight-membered rings.

One of the thiocyanate ions bridges the two Ag(+) ions in a μ(2)-mode from its S atom and the two dppm ligands bridge the silver ions in a μ(1),μ(1) mode. Project description:The title complex, {[Cu(CH(4)N(2)S)(3)]I·0.5CH(3)CN}(n), was formed by the reaction of CuI and thio-urea in acetonitrile. There are two independent Cu(I) ions in the asymmetric unit which are coordinated by two terminal and two bridging thio-urea ligands to form a one-dimensional helical chain structure progagating in the a-axis direction. Each Cu(I) ion is in a distorted tetra-hedral coordination environment. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak N-H⋯S and N-H⋯I hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, [Ni(C(7)H(7)OS)(2)(C(3)H(9)P)(2)], was obtained as a product of the reaction of [NiMe(2)(PMe(3))(3)] with two molar equivalents of 4-methoxy-thio-phenol in diethyl ether. The compound is stable in the air for several hours, but rapidly decomposes at room temperature in solution. The Ni atom displays a square-planar coordination with two P-donor atoms lying in trans positions. The benzene rings of the thio-phenolate ligands are almost perpendicular to the square coordination plane, making dihedral angles of 80.43 (4) and 72.60 (4)°.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ag(CF(3)SO(3))(C(8)H(10)N(4)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)], the Ag(I) atom is coordinated by two caffeine N atoms and, at longer distances, two O atoms of a coordinated water mol-ecule and the trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anion, resulting in an AgN(2)O(2) seesaw geometry. The caffeine mol-ecules are roughly coplanar [dihedral angle = 5.81 (5)°]. In the crystal, mol-ecules self-assemble into a linear supra-molecular chain along the c axis via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the coordinated water moledcule and carbonyl O atoms. The packing is consolidated by weak C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Project description:Through a diffusion reaction, cuprous bromide, triphenyl-phosphane and 1,3-bis-(pyridin-4-yl)propane (bpp) were self-assembled to form the one-dimensional title compound, [Cu(2)Br(2)(C(13)H(14)N(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)](n). Each Cu(I) atom is coordinated by two Br atoms, one P atom from a triphenyl-phosphane ligand and one N atom from a bpp mol-ecule in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. Two μ(2)-Br bridges connect two [Cu(PPh(3))](+) units to form neutral [CuBr(PPh(3))](2) dimers, which are linked by the flexible bridging bpp ligands to form a one-dimensional chain structure parallel to the c axis. The dihedral angle between the pyridine rings of the bpp ligand is 34.59 (14)°.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(6)H(9)N(2)O(3)S)(2)](n), the copper(II) ion sits on an inversion center and is chelated by the imidazole N and sulfonate O atoms of two ligands in equatorial positions. O atoms of adjacent mol-ecules coordinate in the axial positions. Jahn-Teller tetra-gonal distortion is evident in the coordination geometry [Cu-N and Cu-O equatorial distances of 1.971 (3) and 2.045 (2) Å, respectively, with a Cu-O axial distance of 2.433 (3) Å]. The structure is propagated by an infinite chain of eight-membered (Cu-O-S-O)(2) ring systems along the a axis. Only N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding exists between the chains.

Project description:The title compound, [In(2)(C(9)H(11))(4)(C(4)H(10)P)(2)], contains a centrosymmetric In(2)P(2) core with short inter-molecular In-P bonds. This core has acute P-In-P and obtuse In-P-In bond angles compared with other [R(2)InPR'(2)](2) analogues, due to the presence of the bulky aromatic substituents on the In atom and the non-sterically demanding ethyl substituents on the P atom.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(2){SC(NH(2))NHNH(2)}(6)]I(2), was obtained by the reaction of CuI and thio-semicarbazide (TSCZ) in acetonitrile. Each Cu(I) ion is coordinated by four S atoms of the TSCZ ligands, forming a tetra-hedral geometry. Centrosymmetric dimers are formed by two coordination tetra-hedra sharing a common edge, with a Cu⋯Cu distance of 2.8236 (14) Å. The I(-) ion does not have any direct inter-action with the metal. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak N-H⋯N, N-H⋯S and N-H⋯I hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network structure.
