ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Eu(2)(C(14)H(10)N(2)O(6)S(2))(H(2)O)(14)](C(14)H(10)N(2)O(6)S(2))(2)·10H(2)O, the complete bimetallic cation is generated by crystallographic inversion symmetry. The Eu atom adopts a distorted dodeca-hedral coordination arising from one O-bonded 2,2'-azinodibenzene-sulfonate ligand and seven water mol-ecules. In the crystal structure, the components are linked by multiple O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, (NH(4))(3)[GaMo(6)(OH)(6)O(18)]·7H(2)O, contains two centrosymmetric GaMo(6) B-type Anderson cluster units consisting of central GaO(6) octa-hedra surrounded by a hexa-gonal assembly of MoO(6) edge-sharing octa-hedra. Like other B-type Anderson clusters, where the central Mo atom is substituted with a di- or trivalent metal ion, the central six μ(3)-oxido bridges are protonated. The average Ga-O bond length is 1.97 (1) Å, whereas the average Mo-O distances are 2.29 (2), 1.94 (1) and 1.709 (5) Å, respectively, for Mo-(μ(3)-OH), Mo-(μ(2)-O) and Mo=O bonds. In the crystal structure, the Ga(μ(3)-OH)(6)Mo(6)O(18) (3-) polyanionic clusters are surrounded by NH(4) (+) cations and solvent water mol-ecules, forming an extended network of hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, (NH(4))(5)Na(7)[Mo(5)P(2)O(23)](2)·21H(2)O, was prepared under atmospheric conditions in aqueous solution at room temperature. The structure contains the [Mo(5)P(2)O(23)](6-) heteropolyoxometallate anion, which has been previously reported a number of times with a variety of differing counter-cations. Each anion is built up of five MoO(6) octa-hedra sharing an edge and forming a ring which is closed by common corners of the terminal octa-hedra. The rings are closed on both sides by two asymmetric PO(4) tetra-hedra, sharing three corners with three MoO(6) octa-hedra. The anions are chiral and the two independent anions in the asymmetric unit were arbitarily chosen with the same chirality, but the centrosymmetric crystal contains both enanti-omers. The structure can alternatively be described as a succession of layers parallel to (101), formed by the [Mo(5)P(2)O(23)](6-) anions and linked by sodium chains. Water mol-ecules and ammonium ions fill the remaining space and ensure the cohesion through extensive N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding.

Project description:The title compound, C(15)H(20)N(2)O(2) (2+)·2PF(6) (-), was prepared by anion exchange of two bromide ions in the ionic liquid 2,2'-bis-(pyridinium-1-ylmeth-yl)-propane-1,3-diol dibromide with potassium hexa-fluoro-phosphate. The two pyridine rings are planar (r.m.s. deviations = 0.008 and 0.00440 Å) and make a dihedral angle of 44.0 (2)°. Intermolecular O-H⋯F and C-H⋯F interactions occur. The four F atoms in each anion were refined as disordered over two sets of sites with an occupancy ration of 0.700 (19):0.300 (19).

Project description:The title compound, {[Ba7(C3H5O2)14]·0.946C3H6O2·4H2O} n , is represented by a metal-organic framework structure that is held together by Ba-O-Ba bonds, as well as by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds of moderate strength. The structure comprises of four independent Ba2+ cations (one of which is situated on a twofold rotation axis), seven independent propionate and two independent water mol-ecules. The bond-valence sums of all the cations indicate a slight overbonding. There is also an occupationally, as well as a positionally disordered propionic acid mol-ecule present in the structure. Its occupation is slightly lower than the full occupation while the disordered mol-ecules occupy two positions related by a rotation about a twofold rotation axis. In addition, the methyl group in the symmetry-independent propionic acid mol-ecule is also disordered, and occupies two positions. Each propionic acid mol-ecule coordinates to just one cation from a pair of symmetry-equivalent Ba2+ sites and is simultaneously bonded by an O-H⋯Opropionate hydrogen bond. This means that on a microscopic scale, the coordination number of the corresponding Ba2+ site is either 9 or 10. The methyl as well as hy-droxy hydrogen atoms of the disordered propionic acid mol-ecule were not determined.

Project description:The title compound, (CH6N3)7H9[PtMo6O24]2·7H2O, containing the well-known Anderson-type heteropolyoxomolybdate, was obtained by recrystallization of its powdered guanidinium salt. The protonated O atoms in the polyanion were confirmed by electron-density maps, inter-polyanion hydrogen bonds and bond-valance sums (BVS). The {[H4.5PtMo6O24]2}(7-) polyanion is the same as that already characterized in K7[H4.5PtMo6O24]2·11H2O [space group P-1; Lee & Joo (2010 ▶). Acta Cryst. E66, i8-i9]. The heteropolyanions form inversion-generated dimers, {[H4.5PtMo6O24]2}(7-), held together by each of the four μ3-O-H⋯μ1-O, two μ2-O-H⋯μ2-O hydrogen bonds and one centrosymmetric μ3-O-H-μ3-O hydrogen bond. The H atom of the centrosymmetric hydrogen bond is located on an inversion centre. One guanidinium ion and one water mol-ecule are equally disordered about a twofold rotation axis.

Project description:In the title compound, Na(2)CaNi(2)(P(2)O(7))(2)(H(2)O)(10), there are two distinct P-atom sites, each tetra-hedrally coordinated by four O atoms. The resulting phosphate tetra-hedra link through a common O atom, forming a [P(2)O(7)](4-) diphosphate unit. The Ni-O coordination is square pyramidal with four O atoms from two diphosphate groups in equatorial positions and the vertex occupied by a water O atom. The (P(2)O(7))(H(2)O) units link the Ni atoms, forming a chain of pyramids and tetra-hedra. As a result of the d-glide and twofold-axis symmetry of space group Fdd2, the chains propagate along [101] and [10], and chains in adjacent layers are mutually orthogonal. The Ca cation, located on a rotation axis, and the Na cation are each octa-hedrally coordinated by four O atoms and two waters. The Ni-chain arrangement is stabilized by Ca and Na coordination and a network of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Hydrogen-bonded water mol-ecules and an uncoordinated acetate anion form a two-dimensional polymeric structure parallel to (010). The cations are linked to this layer via O-H?O hydrogen bonds between one of the water mol-ecules and the coordinated acetate anion.

The imino group is coplanar with the aromatic ring. Within the mol-ecule, the planar units are parallel, but extend in opposite directions from the dimethyl-ene bridge. In the crystal structure, the title compound exhibits a layer packing structure via weak π-π stacking inter-actions [inter-molecular plane-to-plane distances between adjacent aromatic rings are 3.461 (3) Å]. Mol-ecules in each layer are linked by inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.
