The mol-ecule lies on a crystallographic twofold axis of symmetry passing through the O atom and bis-ecting the 1,1' C-C bond.

Project description:In the cation of the title compound, C(7)H(13)N(2) (+)·C(6)H(2)N(3)O(7) (-), the seven-membered 1,4-diazepine ring forms a twist chair conformation. The two o-nitro groups in the anion are twisted by 35.0 (7) and 36.0 (9)° from the benzene ring. In the crystal, N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the cation and anion along with weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds produce chains along the b axis. C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connecting the chains are also present.

In the crystal, a one-dimensional stacking of mol-ecules involves inter-actions between the pyridine ring and symmetry-related Br and O atoms of adjacent mol-ecules. The stacking distance between the mean planes of adjacent mol-ecules is 3.395 (4) Å.

Project description:The title compound, C(12)H(14)O(6)S, is a dicarboxylic acid diethyl ester of 3,4-ethyl-enedioxy-thio-phene, which is a component of electrically conductive poly(3,4-ethyl-enedioxy-thio-phene) (PEDOT). The ethyl-ene group is disordered over two sites with occupancy factors 0.64 and 0.36. Both the carbonyl groups are coplanar with the thio-phene ring. The mol-ecules form centrosymmetric dimers with an R(2) (2)(12) coupling by inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds [3.333 (5) Å] at the ethoxy-carbonyl groups. The dimer units are arranged to form a ribbon-like mol-ecular sheet.

Project description:The title compound, C(28)H(19)NO(2), was synthesized by the reaction of 1,3-benzodioxole-5-carbaldehyde with naphthalen-2-amine catalyzed by thio-salicylic acid in acetic acid. The central dihydropyridine ring adopts a boat conformation. The two planar (r.m.s. deviations = 0.0158 and 0.0552 Å) bicyclic parts make a dihedral angle of 16.16 (5)° with respect to each other. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and C-H⋯π inter-actions.

The two benzothio-phene ring systems are asymmetrically twisted away from the attached thio-phene ring [dihedral angles = 20.57 (3) and 6.70 (3)°] and are oriented at an angle of 26.83 (3)°. No significant hydrogen bonding or π-π inter-actions are observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title salt, C15H16NO4(+.)Br3(-), classical intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are found, which results in the co-planarity of the ester substituents with the quinolinium residue [C-C-C-O torsion angle = 1.0 (10)°]. The bromine anions are placed on both sides of heterocyclic cation and form Br⋯N contacts of 3.674 (9) and 3.860 (9) Å, which confirms the location of positive charge on the N atom. Non-classical inter-molecular C-H⋯Br inter-actions stabilize the three-dimensional crystal structure. Moreover, anion⋯π inter-actions are noted [Br⋯ring centroid range = 3.367 (9)-3.697 (9) Å]. The partly saturated heterocycle is disordered over two sofa conformations with occupancies in the ratio 0.56 (2):0.44 (2).
