Di-μ-bromido-tris-(triphenyl-phosphine)-1κP,2κP-disilver(I) tetra-hydro-furan 0.85-solvate.

ABSTRACT: In the title binuclear silver(I) complex, [Ag(2)Br(2)(C(18)H(15)P)(3)]·0.85C(4)H(8)O, the two independent silver(I) ions are briged by two bromide ions. One Ag(I) ion is coordinated by two triphenyl-phosphine groups with a square-planar geometry, while the second is coordinated by one triphenyl-phine group with a trigonal-planar geometry. The structure is very similar to that of the dichloro-methane solvate reported by Zhu, Huang & Zheng [Chin. J. Struct. Chem. (1994), 13, 325-327]. The tetrahydrofuran solvent molecule is disordered and was refined with a fixed occupancy of 0.85.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title triangulo-triruthenium compound, [Ru(3)(C(18)H(12)Cl(3)P)(2)(CO)(10)]·H(2)O, consists of one triangulo-triruthenium complex and one disordered water solvent molecule. Two of the 3-chloro-phenyl rings are disordered over two positions with refined site occupancies of 0.671 (3)/0.329 (3) and 0.628 (3)/0.372 (3). The water mol-ecule is disordered over two positions with refined site occupancies of 0.523 (7) and 0.477 (7). Two equatorial carbonyl groups have been substituted by the two monodentate phosphine ligands, leaving one equatorial and two axial carbonyl substituents on the two Ru atoms. The remaining Ru atom carries two equatorial and two axial terminal carbonyl ligands. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked into columns along the a axis by inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The mol-ecular structure is stabilized by weak intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(NO(3))(C(18)H(15)P)(3)]·CH(3)OH, is a methanol solvate derivative of nitratotris(triphenyl-phos-phine)copper(I). The complex crystallizes with three triphenyl-phosphine ligands coordinated to the copper centre, with an O-H⋯O hydrogen bond observed between the nitrate ligand and the methanol solvent mol-ecule. The coordination around the Cu(I) centre is distorted tetrahedral.

Iodidotris(triphenyl-phosphine)copper(I) acetonitrile solvate.

Project description:The title compound, [CuI(C(18)H(15)P)(3)]·C(2)H(3)N, was obtained from the reaction of triphenyl-phosphine and copper(I) iodide in acetonitrile. The monomeric form of the complex has slightly distorted coordination of Cu by the I atom and three P atoms. The crystal structure is stabilized by C-H⋯π inter-actions between phenyl H atoms and phenyl rings. In addition, the complex mol-ecules exhibit C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds between phenyl H atoms and acetonitrile N atoms. The crystal used was an inversion twin, with nearly equal component populations of 0.522 (8) and 0.478 (8).

In the crystal structure, the environment about the ruthenium metal center corresponds to a slightly distorted octa-hedron with an average N-Ru-N bite angle of the Tp ligand of 86.6 (2)°.

Tris(thio-cyanato-κN)tris-(triphenyl-phosphine oxide-κO)terbium(III).

Project description:The title compound, [Tb(NCS)3(C18H15OP)3], contains a six-coordinate Tb(II) cation surrounded by three O-bound triphenyl-phosphine oxide ligands and three N-bound thio-cyanate ligands, each in a fac arrangement. There are two crystallographically unique Tb(III) atoms in the asymmetric unit. One Tb(III) atom resides on a threefold rotation axis, while the other has no imposed crystallographic symmetry. The thio-cyanate ligands are bound through N atoms, illustrating the hard-hard bonding principles of metal complex chemistry.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(10)H(8)N(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]NO(2)·CHCl(3)·0.5H(2)O, the Cu atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated by a bidentate 2,2'-bipyridine ligand and two PPh(3) ligands. The Cu-N and Cu-P distances are similar to those observed in similar compounds. The range of coordination angles shows a moderate distortion from ideal tetra-hedral geometry. The bipyridine ligand is twisted [14.2?(4)°] about the ring-ring C-C bond. The nitrate anion and the water and chloro-form mol-ecules of solvation are disordered. In the crystal structure, there are O(water)-H?O(nitrate), C-H?O(water) and C-H?O(nitrate) hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title co-crystal, [Eu(NCS)3(C18H15OP)3][Eu(NCS)2(NO3)(C18H15OP)3], contains two distinct neutral complexes. Each complex has threefold symmetry about its central Eu(3+) ion. As a result, the nitrate-containing mol-ecule contains disorder of its bidentate nitrate and two N-bound thio-cyanate anions, while the [Eu(NCS)3(OPPh3)3] complex is fully ordered. There is a weak π-π stacking inter-action between the phenyl rings of the two mol-ecules [centroid-centroid distance = 4.138 (4) Å].
