ABSTRACT: The V(V) atom in the title compound, [VO(C(7)H(7)N(2)O)(C(10)H(8)N(2)O(3))], is N,O-chelated by the benzohydrazidate anion and O,N,O'-chelated by the 2-(benzoyl-hydrazono)propionate dianion. The distorted octa-hedral trans-N(2)O(4) coordination geometry is completed by the vandadyl O atom. Mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a supra-molecular chain structure parallel to [010].

Project description:The V(V) atom in the title complex, [V(C(14)H(8)BrClN(2)O(2))(CH(3)O)O(CH(3)OH)], is six-coordinated by one phenolate O, one imine N and one enolic O atom of the hydrazone ligand, one oxide O atom, one methanol O atom and one methoxide O atom in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings of the hydrazone ligand is 13.2 (3)°. The deviation of the V atom towards the oxide O atom from the plane defined by the three donor atoms of the hydrazone ligand and the meth-oxy O atom is 0.318 (2) Å. Bond lengths are comparable with those observed in similar oxidovanadium(V) complexes with hydrazone ligands. In the crystal, pairs of mol-ecules are linked through inter-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming dimers.

The doubly-deprotonated Schiff base O,N,O'-chelates to the V(V) atom; two metal atoms are bridged by the methoxide units. The coordination geometry is a distorted octa-hedron. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonding is present in the crystal structure. The bromo-phenyl unit is disordered over two positions, with the major component being in a 0.909 (6) proportion.

Project description:Two independent but very similar mol-ecules comprise the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Sn(CH(3))(2)(C(18)H(12)N(2)O(3))]. Each Sn atom is coordinated by two methyl groups and two O atoms and an N atom from the dinegative tridentate ligand. The resultant C(2)NO(2) donor set defines a coordination geometry inter-mediate between square-pyramidal and trigonal-pyramidal, with a small tendency towards the former. Zigzag chains running along the a axis mediated by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonding characterize the crystal packing. These are connected into layers in the ab plane by a combination of C-H⋯N and π-π [centroid-centroid distances = 3.658 (2) and 3.6740 (18) Å] inter-actions. The layers are connected along the c axis via C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Project description:The title oxovanadium(V) complex, [V(C(18)H(13)N(3)O(2))(CH(3)O)O(CH(3)OH)], was obtained by the reaction of 1-(2-hy-droxy-naphthalen-1-yl)ethanone, nicotinohydrazide and vanadyl sulfate in methanol. The V(V) atom is six-coordinated by the N,N,O-tridentate Schiff base ligand, one methano-late O atom, one methanol O atom and one oxide O atom, forming a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The methanol O atom lies trans to the V=O group. The dihedral angle between the pyridine ring and the naphthalene ring system is 31.52 (10)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds occur.

The central V(IV) atom is six-coordinated by one oxide O atom, two N atoms from 1,10-phenanthroline and one N atom and two O atoms from the Schiff base ligand in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect mol-ecules into centrosymmetric dimers. The C atoms of the dimethyl-formamide solvent mol-ecule are disordered over two sites with site-occupancy factors of 0.732 (13) and 0.268 (13).

Project description:The title mixed-ligand oxidovanadium(IV) compound, [VO(C(5)H(7)O(2))(2)(C(8)H(9)N(3))], contains a V(IV) atom in a distorted octahedral coordination, which is typical for such complexes. The vanadyl group and the N-heterocyclic ligand are cis to each other. The coordination bond is located at the endocyclic N atom of the benzimidazole ligand. Intra-molecular hydrogen bonds between the exo-NH(2) group H atoms and acetyl-acetonate O atoms stabilize the crystal structure.
