ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(16)H(16)N(2)O(5), the meth-oxy group is disordered with site occupancies of 0.20 (3) and 0.80 (3). The dihedral angle between the two aromatic rings is 73.7 (2)°. The crystal structure is characterized by intermolecular N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O, C-H⋯O and C-H⋯π hydrogen bonds.

The dihedral angle between the naphthalene ring system and the benzene ring is 81.9 (1)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by N-H⋯O inter-molecular hydrogen bonds, linking the mol-ecules into pairs around a center of symmetry. The crystal structure is further stabilized by inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, which link the mol-ecules into chains running along a axis.
