[μ-Bis(trimethyl-silyl)amido]bis-[μ-N,N-dimethyl-N',N''-bis-(trimethyl-silyl)guanidinato]-triangulo-tricopper(I).

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Cu(3)(C(6)H(18)NSi(2))(C(9)H(24)N(3)Si(2))(2)], is a trinuclear Cu(I) complex. A crystallographic twofold axis passes through one Cu(I) atom and the N atom of the bis-(trimethyl-silyl)amide ligand that bridges between the other two Cu(I) atoms. The Cu-Cu bonds bridged by the guanadinate ligands [2.7913 (9) Å] are slightly longer than the Cu-Cu bond bridged by the bis-(trimethyl-silyl)amide ligand [2.6405 (11) Å].

The title compound, [Cu(3)(C(6)H(18)NSi(2))(C(9)H(24)N(3)Si(2))(2)], is a trinuclear Cu(I) complex. Project description:The green title complex, [Co(2)(CH(3))(2)(C(12)H(21)N(2)Si)(2)], was obtained from bis-{[μ-N-tert-butyl-dimethyl-silyl-N-(pyridin-2-ylmeth-yl)amido]-chloridocobalt(II)} and methyl-lithium in diethyl ether at 195 K via a metathesis reaction. The dimeric cobalt(II) complex exhibits a crystallographic center of inversion in the middle of the Co(2)N(2) ring (average Co-N = 2.050 Å). The Co(II) atom shows a distorted tetra-hedral coordination sphere. The exocyclic Co-N bond length to the pyridyl group shows a similar value of 2.045 (4) Å. The exocyclic methyl group has a rather long Co-C bond length of 2.019 (5) Å.

Project description:The dinuclear title complex, [Mg(2)(C(19)H(40)N(3)Si(2))(2)Cl(2)(C(4)H(8)O)(2)], lies on a center of inversion. The Mg(2+) ions are bonded to a chelating N,N'-bonded guanidinate anion, a tetra-hydro-furan mol-ecule and two bridging chloride anions. The geometry of the resulting five-coordinated Mg(2+) ion is a very distorted square-based pyramid with the O atom in the apical position.

Project description:The complex mol-ecule of the title compound, [Cu(3)Br(C(22)H(28)N(4)O(2))(2)]Br·2C(3)H(7)NO, contains three copper atoms, two of which are five-coordinate within a square-pyramidal environment and linked by a bridging Br atom occupying the apical position in each square pyramid. The remaining Cu atom is four-coordinate but with considerable tetra-hedral disortion [the dihedral angle between the two chelate planes is 69.21 (7)°]. There are two mol-ecules of dimethyl-formamide (DMF) present as solvent mol-ecules, one of which is disordered over two equivalent conformations with occupancies of 0.603 (5) and 0.397 (5). The amine H atoms are involved in both inter- and intra-molecular hydrogen-bonding inter-actions with the Br and O atoms of the cation, as well as with the O atom of the ordered DMF mol-ecule.

Project description:The title compound, [Al2K2(C2H6N)8(C4H8O)] n , formed during the sonochemical reaction between Al(NMe2)3 and sodium-potassium alloy in the presence of tetra-hydro-furan (THF). Its asymmetric unit has two inequivalent K(+) sites. One site is coordinated by a THF ligand, and crystallizes as a one-dimensional polymer with a backbone of catenated AlN2K rings. A twofold rotation axis bis-ects one K(+) site and the THF ligand; the second K(+) site is situated on an inversion centre, resulting in a planar four-coordination by N atoms. The latter symmetry operation generates the second half of the THF mol-ecule and fills out the coordination sphere of the potassium sites. The chains extend along the c-axis direction and zigzag at the THF-coordinated K(+) sites by an angle of 106.02 (5)°.

Project description:The title compound, [Mo(2)(C(11)H(16)N)(4)(C(10)H(11)N)(2)], is a dinuclear molybdenum complex with a formal metal-metal bond [Mo⋯Mo separation = 2.5946 (8) Å], four anilide-type ligands and two bridging mesityl nitrile groups. There are two inversion symmetric mol-ecules in the unit cell (an inversion center is localized at the mid-point of the Mo-Mo bond), each with approximate non-crystallographic C(2h) symmetry. The mol-ecules contain disordered isopropyl and 3,5-C(6)H(3)Me(2) groups on different anilido ligands; the major component having an occupancy of 0.683 (7). The complex was obtained in low yield as the product from the reaction between the bridging pyrazine adduct of molybdenum tris--anilide ([μ(2)-(C(4)H(4)N(2)){Mo(C(11)H(16)N)(3)}(2)]) and mesityl nitrile with a loss of one anilido ligand.

Project description:The title copper coordination polymer, [Cu(3)(C(8)H(4)O(4))(2)(C(8)H(5)O(4))(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)](n), was synthesized by reacting Cu(NO(3))(2), isophthalic acid and 1,10-phenanthroline under hydro-thermal conditions. The trinuclear unit presents a central almost planar CuO(4) chromophore with the cation on a symmetry center, and two symmetry-related CuN(2)O(3) groups with the metal centre in a distorted square-pyramidal environment. These units are bridged by isophthalate ligands into one-dimensional double-chain coordination polymers which are, in turn, connected by various π-π stacking inter-actions (face-to-face distance ca 3.45 Å) and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.
