ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(12)H(15)NO(3), the ethoxy-benzyl ring plane forms a dihedral angle of 60.3 (4)° with the mean plane of the oxazolidine ring. The mol-ecules are linked through N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a chain running in the b direction.

Project description:In the title compound, C17H19ClN4O5, the benzimidazole fused-ring system is essentially planar, the maximum deviation from the mean plane being 0.06 (1) Å. Both oxazolidine rings are nearly planar, the maximum deviations from the mean planes are 0.071 (13) and 0.070 (10) Å. The dihedral angle between the mean planes of the oxazolidine rings is 69.9 (7)°. The benzimidazole mean plane makes the dihedral angles of 43.9 (6) and 45.6 (6)° with the two oxazolidine rings. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are linked together by weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds building zigzag tapes running along the c axis. The Cl atom is split over two positions with an occupancy ratio of 0.567 (7):0.433 (7). This means that the reaction yields two isomers, A and B; the A component has the Cl-atom substituent in the 5-position of the benzimidazolone ring and the B component has the Cl atom in the 6-position. The two isomers form the disordered co-crystal, with a nearly half Cl atom in each of them, as indicated by the occupancy ratio. The crystal structure was refined as an inversion twin.

In the crystal, a strong N-H⋯N hydrogen bond links the mol-ecules into a C(4) chain along the c axis while a C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-action generates a C(5) chain along the a axis, i.e. perpendicular to the other chain.

The benzothiazole group and the oxazolidine ring are each almost planar [with maximum deviations of 0.007 (2) and 0.044 (3) Å, respectively] and make a dihedral angle of 9.35 (10)°. In the crystal structure, adjacent mol-ecules were connected through C-H⋯O and C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, and further extended into a three-dimensional network structure through inter-molecular aromatic π-π stacking inter-actions in which the centroid-centroid distance is 3.590 (1) Å.

Project description:Two isomers were isolated during the reaction between 3-methyl-quinoxalin-2-one and bis-(2-chloro-ethyl)amine hydro-chloride. The crystal structure of one isomer has already been reported [Caleb, Bouhfid, Essassi & El Ammari (2009). Acta Cryst. E65, o2024-o2025], while that of the second isomer is the subject of this work. The title compound, C(14)H(15)N(3)O(3), has a new structure containing oxazolidine and quinoxaline rings linked by an eth-oxy group. The main difference between the two isomers is the position of the oxazolidine group with respect to the quinoxaline system. The dihedral angle between the fused planar rings and the oxazolidin-2-one ring is 41.63 (8)° in the title mol-ecule.

Project description:In the title compound, C10H9ClN2O4, the oxazolidinone ring adopts a near-planar conformation, with mean and maximum deviations of 0.0204 (8) and 0.0328 (8) Å, respectively. The nitro group is twisted slightly from the plane of the benzene ring, making a dihedral angle of 6.79 (3)°. The dihedral angle between the mean oxazolidinone plane and the benzene ring is 56.21 (3)°. In the crystal, N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and N-O⋯π inter-actions [O⋯centroid distances = 3.478 (1) and 3.238 (1) Å] dominate the packing, forming infinite zigzag chains along the b-axis direction. Neighbouring chains are linked together through C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl inter-actions. The absolute configuration of the two stereogenic centres was determined using the anomalous dispersion of the Cl atom.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(8)H(8)N(2)O(4)S(2), contains one half of a centrosymmetric mol-ecule. A short C⋯O distance of 3.012 (4) Å between the carbonyl groups of neighbouring mol-ecules indicates the presence of dipole-dipole inter-actions. The crystal packing exhibits also weak inter-molecular O⋯S [3.239 (3) Å] and C-H⋯O inter-actions.
