ABSTRACT: In the title compound, 2C(5)H(7)N(2) (+)·2C(2)HO(4) (-)·H(2)O, the asymmetric unit consists of an amino-pyridinium cation, an oxalic actetate anion and a half-molecule of water, which lies on a two-fold rotation axis. The crystal packing is consolidated by inter-molecular O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The mol-ecules are linked into an infinite one dimensional chain along [010].

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 2C(5)H(8)N(3) (+)·2C(2)HO(4) (-)·H(2)O, contains two crystallographically independent 2,6-diamino-pyridinium cations, a pair of hydrogen oxalate anions and a water mol-ecule. Both 2,6-diamino-pyridinium cations are planar, with maximum deviations of 0.011 (2) and 0.015 (1) Å, and are protonated at the pyridine N atoms. The hydrogen oxalate anions adopt twisted conformations and the dihedral angles between the planes of their carboxyl groups are 31.01 (11) and 63.48 (11)°. In the crystal, the cations, anions and water mol-ecules are linked via O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the cation of the title mol-ecular salt, C5H6N3O2 (+)·C2HO4 (-), the dihedral angle between the aromatic ring and the nitro group is 3.5 (3)°; in the anion, the dihedral angle between the CO2 and CO2H planes is 10.5 (2)°. In the crystal, the anions are linked into [100] chains by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The cations cross-link the chains by way of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and the structure is consolidated by C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Project description:In the non-centrosymetric title compound, C(5)H(6)N(3)O(2) (+)·C(2)HO(4) (-), the hydrogen oxalate anions form corrugated chains parallel to the c axis, linked by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The 2-amino-3-nitro-pyridinium cations are anchored between theses chains by N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and van der Waals and electrostatic inter-actions, creating a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 2C(5)H(7)N(2) (+)·SO(4) (2-)·H(2)O, contains two 4-amino-pyridinium cations (A and B), a sulfate dianion and a water mol-ecule. One of the 4-amino-pyridinium cations (B) is disordered over two orientations with refined site occupancies of 0.568 (4) and 0.432 (4). The non-H atoms of the 4-amino-pyridinium cations are essentially coplanar, with a maximum deviation of 0.055 (1) Å (in cation A), 0.022 (3) Å (for the major component in cation B) and 0.009 (3) Å (for the minor component in cation B). In the crystal, the sulfate O atoms link the 4-amino-pyridinium cations and water mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network via inter-molecular O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure is further consolidated by N-H⋯O(water) and C-H⋯O(water) hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title hydrated salt, 2C(5)H(8)N(3) (+)·C(8)H(5)O(4) (-)·NO(3) (-)·H(2)O, was obtained fortuitously from the reaction between 2,6-diamino-pyridine, phthalic acid and Co(NO(3))(2)·6H(2)O at 343 K. The asymmetric unit consists of two crystallographically independent 2,6-diamino-pyridinium cations, a hydrogen phthalate anion, a nitrate ion and a water mol-ecule of crystallization which in the crystal structure are linked by inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network. In the hydrogen phthalate anion, there is a very strong intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond.

Project description:The title compound, (C(5)H(7)N(2))(2)[CdI(4)]·H(2)O, contains one [CdI(4)](2-) anion, two prontonated 4-amino-pyridine mol-ecules and one water mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. In the anion, the Cd(II) atom is coordinated by four I atoms in a slightly distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The [CdI(4)](2-) anion and the water mol-ecule are bis-ected by a crystallographic mirror plane perpendicular to the c-axis direction, with the Cd(II) atom, two of the I atoms and the atoms of the water mol-ecule located on this plane. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯I, N-H⋯O and O-H⋯I hydrogen bonds and by π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.798 (3) Å) between pyridine rings, which build up a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the ionic title compound, (C(6)H(7)N(2)O)[Bi(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O or (acpyH)[Bi(pydc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O, contains an [Bi(pydc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](-) anion (where pydcH(2) is pyridine-2,6-dicarb-oxy-lic acid), a protonated 3-(amino-carbon-yl)pyridine as counter-ion, (acpyH)(+), and one uncoordinated water mol-ecule. The anion is an eight-coordinate complex with a square-anti-prismatic geometry around the Bi(III) atom. In the crystal, extensive O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, as well as ion pairing, C=O⋯π inter-actions [O⋯centroid distance = 3.583 (5) Å], π-π stacking [centroid-centroid distance = 3.864 (3) Å], and C-H⋯π and C-H⋯O inter-actions, play an important role in the formation and stabilization of the three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title hydrated salt, 2C(4)H(12)N(+)·C(2)O(4) (2-)·H(2)O, the two independent cations, the anion and the water mol-ecule all lie on special positions of m site symmetry. In both cations, the mirror plane passes through the nitrogen atom and two methyl groups; in the anion, the mirror plane passes through two carbon and two oxygen atoms. The anions and water mol-ecules inter-act by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding, forming a chain running along the b axis.
