ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(16)H(18)F(6)O(4), was obtained through an unprecedented one-pot reaction sequence involving a Gosteli-Claisen rearrangement and a cyclo-isomerization. The constitution and relative configuration were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected via O-H ⋯ O hydrogen bonds.
